Well, we have re-placed the carpet, so now all that’s left to do is repair the sewer line, rip up the wallpaper in the bathroom, replace the baseboards from all around… and pray to God that it doesn’t happen again for a while.

Since Saturday marked 3 months until due date, we’ve decided to release our name choice for our new baby: Jessica Madeleine. She’ll probably wind up being called Jessie, but we’re going for something sort of classically elegant.
Gotta run make life happen.

Jessica: a variant of Jessie, which was a Scottish diminutive of Janet, which its self was a diminutive of Jane. Ultimately, but very vaguely based on the Hebrew for "God is gracious."
Madeleine: French variant of Magdalene, the Hebrew which more literally meant a woman of Magdala. However, I’m seeing Magdala referred to as both Soutwestern France and also the age of Cro-Magnon man.

I’m working 50-60 hours a week. Laureen has communicated a timeline for cleaning up the area to the office. Besides, there is nothing back there that will interfere with either of the two mentioned activities as long as the space is closed off like it has been. Cleaning the New Way space is essentially ending an experiment, and being there from the beginning, it’s really hard for me to do. It represents failure to me. I know I need to move on, but that’s the way I’m feeling about it.

I love the names! But here’s the coincidence: I have a nephew named Jacob, a niece named Jessica, and another niece named Madeline. So your next child(ren) must be named Connor and Jason. Even if it’s a girl.
