When it rains…
In a move that still feels like a kick to the teeth, I was laid off from TI on Tuesday. I don’t really understand why, especially since our group needed people. However, I’m moving on, because there is always another opportunity.

Don’t take it personally. Management probably did a across the board cut, and the low man on the totem pole generally gets it. As a professional lay off target (4 jobs in 3.5 years) I know there’s another job out there, even in bad economies. Things will improve, you’ll find another one you like just as much, and in the meanwhile, don’t get stressed out. I’ll have my fingers crossed for you. Take care and keep in touch. Are you both planning for the 10 year reunion?
